Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

General Requirements

Journal of Applied Clinical and Pharmaceutical Care (JACare) publishes original research articles, systematic reviews, and meta-analyses at the intersection of public health and digital innovation. Manuscripts must be written in clear, concise, and grammatically correct English. (TEMPLATE ARTICLE)

Manuscript Structure and Formatting

Authors are strictly required to use the official JPHDI manuscript template. Do not modify the page setup (margins, font types, line spacing) of the template.

  • Font: Cambria.
  • Title: Font size 14, Bold, Capitalize Each Word.
  • Body Text: Font size 10, Line spacing 1.15.

Title and Author Information

  • Title: Should be informative and reflect the core of the research.
  • Author Names: Listed without academic titles.
  • Affiliations: Must include the Department, Institution/University, and Country.
  • Corresponding Author: Provide a valid institutional email address.

Abstract and Keywords

  • Abstract: Must be between 200–250 words. It should be a single paragraph summarizing the Purpose, Methodology, Results, Conclusions, and Implications. Avoid using citations in this section.
  • Keywords: Provide 3 to 5 keywords, separated by semicolons (;), organized alphabetically.

Main Body Sections

Manuscripts should typically follow the IMRaD structure:

  1. Introduction: State the research background, the urgency of the problem, and the specific objectives of the study.
  2. Method: Describe the research design, population/sample, data collection instruments, and statistical analysis.
  3. Results and Discussion: Present findings clearly using tables or figures where necessary. The discussion should interpret the results in the context of existing literature and the study's implications.
  4. Conclusion: Summarize the main findings and provide concise recommendations for future research or policy.
  5. Acknowledgments: (Optional) Recognize funding agencies or individuals who contributed to the study.
  1. Tables and Figures
  • All tables and figures must be cited in the text (e.g., Table 1, Figure 1).
  • Tables: Use an open-table format (no vertical lines) with the title placed above the table.
  • Figures: High-resolution images with the title placed below the figure.
  1. References and Citations

JACare follows the Vancouver Citation Style.

  • In-text Citations: Use superscript numbers (e.g., ...as previously described.¹).
  • Reference List: Numbered sequentially in the order they appear in the text.
  • Recency: At least 80% of references should be from the last 10 years.
  • Tools: Authors are strongly encouraged to use reference management software such as Mendeley or Zotero.
